Everything leaving Netflix in April 2025

Andrew Barth Feldman and Jennifer Lawrence in No Hard Feelings.
Sony Pictures

Seasons change, and so do the movies and TV shows on Netflix. It’s an inevitable part of life in the streaming age. This month also serves as a reminder that Sony gave Netflix an 18-month window for many of its newer films, including No Hard Feelings. But as of April, that film’s first window of availability is coming to a close. Next stop: Hulu.

No one can say that Jennifer Lawrence held back in No Hard Feelings, a film in which she wasn’t afraid to make herself look silly even during a botched skinny dipping. Lawrence plays Maddie Barker, a woman in her thirties who is barely surviving as a ride-share driver. When Maddie is about to lose her car, she answers a very unusual ad from Laird (Matthew Broderick) and Allison Becker (Laura Benanti).

The Beckers have a son, Percy Becker (Andrew Barth Feldman), who has never really had a girlfriend or a chance to come out of his shell. And they’re willing to pay Maddie handsomely to date their socially awkward son and give him some confidence before he attends college. Unfortunately for Maddie, Percy is so clueless that he doesn’t initially realize she’s hitting on him. She really has to go the extra mile to win him over, and he doesn’t respond to her affections in the way that his parents hoped for.

Has Netflix found its version of Yellowstone with Ransom Canyon?
Josh Duhamel pets a horse in Ransom Canyon.

Every major network and streamer is searching for the next  Yellowstone. The Taylor Sheridan Western series is a ratings juggernaut and, thanks to its spin-offs, has its own television universe. Netflix will try to attract Yellowstone fans with its upcoming Western, Ransom Canyon, which finally has a trailer.
"In Ransom Canyon, everyone's running from something or running to something," Josh Duhamel's Staten Kirkland states in the trailer. Staten, a widower still grieving from the loss of his wife, owns the Double K Ranch of Texas Hill Country. Staten's way of life is threatened as competing families fight for control of the land. Despite the impending showdown, Staten tries to find love again with Quinn O’Grady (Minka Kelly), who returns to Ransom after a stint in New York to run the local dance hall.
With the battle for land combined with romance, Ransom Canyon mixes Yellowstone's drama with Virgin River's charm.

Besides Duhamel and Kelly, Ransom Canyon stars Lizzy Greene as Lauren Brigman, James Brolin as Cap Fuller, Eoin Macken as Davis Collins, Meta Golding as Paula Jo, Marianly Tejada as Ellie Catawnee, Jack Schumacher as Yancy Grey, Garrett Wareing as Lucas Russell, and Andrew Liner as Reid Collins.

5 movies leaving Hulu in March 2025 you have to watch
Brooklyn Letexier-Hart and Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers in Night Raiders.

For Hulu subscribers, it's a good thing that only a trickle of movies are leaving at the end of March. In fact, there are literally only three movies exiting Hulu on March 31. Of that trio, we can only recommend Night Raiders and Snakehead.
That's why we've had to dip into the movies leaving Hulu in April to fill out the rest of the five movies you need to watch before the end of March. We'll be borrowing from May's departures as well, because only nine movies are slated to exit Hulu in the entire month of April. And most of those flicks probably won't even be remembered after they're gone.
Need more recommendations? We also have guides to the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+.
Night Raiders (2021)

Niska (Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers) faces an impossible choice in Night Raiders. In a dark future where children under 18 are taken away to be indoctrinated as soldiers in the regime, Niska has successfully hidden her daughter, Waseese (Brooklyn Letexier-Hart). When Waseese is seriously injured during a hunt for food, Niska is forced to give up her own flesh and blood in the hope that her life can be saved.
What happened to Niska has happened to parents all over North America, and some of them are planning a daring raid to reclaim their children. Niska may get a second chance with her daughter, but it's going to take some serious sacrifices to bring them face-to-face once again.
