Black Mirror makes its triumphant return to Netflix with season 7. The new episodes, including USS Callister: Into Infinity, debuted at No. 4 this week. A documentary about child content creators landed in the top spot. Meanwhile, Adolescence dropped to No. 10, but it’s shaping up to be one of the three most popular shows on the streamer. 10. Adolescence (2025)
One of the most gripping shows of 2025 and an early contender for TV show of the year is Adolescence, a British drama from Jack Thorne and Stephen Graham (A Thousand Blows). In a small town, a 13-year-old boy named Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper) is arrested on suspicion of murdering a classmate. The police interrogate Jamie before sending him to a psychiatric facility for further examination.
Many characters, including Jamie’s father (Graham) and the lead investigator (Ashley Walters), search for answers and try to figure out if a teenage boy would actually murder a classmate. It’s a harrowing view into the social media world, as it examines bullying and incel culture. Each episode is filmed in one continuous take.
9. Ms. Rachel season 1 (2025)
Titled Ms. Rachel, the series will take what worked in the YouTube videos to Netflix, providing parents with excellent content for their “littles.” The four episodes released include Learn to Talk, Baby Learning, Learn to Read, and Hop Little Bunnies. This isn’t the end for Ms. Rachel on Netflix, as more episodes will stream later this year.
8. Pop the Balloon LIVE season 1 - Get It Poppin’ (2025)
It’s love at first pop in this new dating show. The YouTube series, Pop the Balloon, has now migrated to Netflix for a love reality series. If this is your first time here, Pop the Balloon is a dating show where a group of singles line up with a red balloon in their hands. The daters will then walk up and down the line, initiating conversation and asking questions.
If the date does not like a person, they will pop the balloon and eliminate them from the competition. It’s that simple. Some do not take the pops kindly, so expect a lot of drama and hijinks. Hosted by Yvonne Orji, Pop the Balloon streams live at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT every Thursday.
7. Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer season 1 (2025)
For a period from 1993 to 2010, young female sex workers began disappearing in New York City and Long Island. Many of these families were left searching for answers as to what happened. In 2010, female remains popped up on Gilgo Beach on Long Island. Eventually, the authorities found more remains from missing girls, as Gilgo Beach became a dumping ground for murder.
Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer tries to piece together what happened to the victims and the perpetrator responsible for their deaths. Unfortunately for the families of the victims, justice took longer than expected. In fact, 13 years went by after the initial discovery before the case received a game-changing break in 2023 that might finally lead to a suspect.
6. Raw: April 7, 2025 (2025)
The road to WrestleMania took another step in the latest edition of Raw. The Women’s World Title match between Iyo Sky and Bianca Belair will now be a triple threat, with Rhea Ripley as the third participant. After Gunther beat Jimmy Uso to a pulp a week ago, “Main Event” Jey Uso promised to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. The main event of WrestleMania Night 1 will be the triple-threat match between CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns. Last week, Paul Heyman agreed to stand in Punk’s corner during their WrestleMania match. Rollins got the upper hand after executing the stomp on CM Punk. Rollins held back and did not stomp Heyman, telling the Wise Man he owes him a favor.
5. Kill Tony: Kill or Be Killed (2025)
4.9/10Tony Hinchcliffe is a rising star in stand-up comedy. Hinchcliffe’s popularity skyrocketed after his expletive-filled rant during The Roast of Tom Brady. Now, Hinchcliffe gets his first of three Kill Tony specials, Kill or Be Killed. For those unfamiliar with the show, Kill Tony is a live podcast where Hinchcliffe, Brian Redban, and a panel of comedians judge a one-minute stand-up set from a comedian.
The comedians are chosen by pulling a name out of the bucket. After a minute, the panel tees off and hurls insults left and right at the comedian. It’s improv comedy with a vulgar twist.
4. Love on the Spectrum season 3 (2022)
It’s one of the most endearing shows offered by Netflix. Helping individuals in their dating lives is neurodiversity expert and author Jennifer Cook. Love on the Spectrum remains a heartfelt series about love and how it knows no bounds.
